Called Meeting
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Sonoma, CA
July 10, 2005
This Congregational Meeting was called by pastor Gantenbein for the following purposes: Election new elders. The meeting, having been announced on the two previous Sundays, was held at the church, 16290 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA. A quorum was present. The meeting was called to order by the moderator, Richard Gantenbein, at 10:00 AM with prayer.
The minutes from the last meeting, having been approved by Session, were available.
Rev. Gantenbein discussed the roles and duties of elders and their unique positions in the Presbyterian church.
The CONC had nominated current session elders Bill Dempsey and Jim McFarlan to continue for a second term and Doug Davis as a new elder and session member. There were no further nominations from the floor.
MSC to elect Bill Dempsey, Jim McFarlan and Doug Davis as elders and session members by unanimous ballot
Rev. Gantenbein asked for prayers for the search for new deacons.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned and closed with prayer by Pastor Gantenbein at 10:05 PM
