Attendees: Rich Gantenbein, (pastor and moderator), Kathleen Hawing, Sylvia Bernard, Caryn Prince, Bill Dempsey, Jerry Sanden, Pat Ingram, Fred Nielsen, Jim Morgan, Jim MacFarlan
Also present: Tim Ramage, Don Minor (clerk of session).
Meeting called to order at 7:04 P.M. by the moderator, Rich Gantenbein, with an opening prayer. 2 Chronicles 7:14 was read and discussed by all.

A quorum was present.

Major Issues:

Continued discussion of The Treasure Principle

Elder’s job description – A review of the first draft was presented by Jim Morgan. The steps needed to implement the jobs were discussed. Elders need to oversee the main objectives and develop committees to assist with the work

Strategic Plan Progress Reports:
  • Enhancement of worship – No report tonight
  • Alternative Service – Need update by March meeting.
  • Leadership Development – Job Descriptions – Caryn will be accepting job descriptions for discussion at our next meeting.

Clerk’s Report: MSC to approve the minutes from the January, 2005 Session meeting and the February 6, 2005 congregational meeting.

Operations: There were no new building contracts. Session discussed that if there were extraordinary circumstances that the church can cancel building contracts. The church secretary will rewrite the contracts and present these at next month’s meeting.


Other Business:

Evangelism: A new visitor’s brochure was presented. New visitor’s latte mugs have been ordered.

Discipleship: A Seminar on finances, led by Joanne Nagel, on March 19, 2005 was announced. There has been good attendance at the men’s group discussing “Wild At Heart”.

Christian Education: A confirmation program will start on March 1st, 2005.

Mission: A Mission Possible program will be held on March 6, 2005 featuring: Young Life, Stewards (missionaries in S Africa) and mission possibilities in Romania.

Worship: We now have greeters for most every service.

Assoc. Pastor’s Report: Prayers before church has good attendance.

Other business: The finance committee members will be Pam Gibson, Pat Ingram, and one other member to be determined.

MSC to adjourn.

Meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm.
