MAUNDY THURSDAY

Let the Lord Begin to Love You: God already loves us...and always has: The invitation of faith is not to earn that love, but to notice how often we get in the way of receiving what is already being given. On Maundy Thursday, join us in the small conference room for a gentle, reflective evening of dwelling in Scripture, quiet reflection, and meaningful table conversation. Together, we’ll make space to soften our hearts, listen more deeply, and open ourselves again to the love that has been holding us all along. Guided by Deacon Debbie Sweek. Please feel free to reach out to Debbie with any questions or to let her know you’ll be attending

GOOD FRIDAY WORSHIP SERVICE

A worship service of music, scripture, silence including a “tenebrae” experience as light fades into darkness. The word “tenebrae” means “darkness” or “shadows,” dating back to a 4th century Holy Week observance in which the lights in the church are extinguished one by one as the service proceeds. The scripture readings begin with Last Supper and follow Jesus through the Garden of Gethsemane to his arrest, trial, and death on the cross.

EOL Doula’s offer non-medical, holistic support for the dying and their loved ones, focusing on emotional, spiritual, and practical care. The presentation will clarify the doula's role in complementing hospice, facilitating end-of-life planning, and fostering a conscious, compassionate approach to death. Complimentary vegetable soup and rolls will be served. HIKE WITH THE GREEN TEAM

The Green Team invites you to join us on a scenic walk/hike on Saturday, April 25th.  Enjoy a beautiful walk up the Camp Via trail at the Sonoma Developmental Center (SDC). Camp Via is a now abandoned historic summer camp and retreat above the former SDC campus. The walk is about 2 miles round trip on a paved, uphill road, with a couple of steeper, unpaved sections. The walk takes us through the Jack London historic orchards and the redwoods, ending with a stunning view from Camp Via itself. The walk is family friendly with older children and youth.  Let's gather together in nature's beauty.  If you wish to join the hike, please RSVP directly to Barbara Roberts, or through the church office by April 22nd for more specific instructions.

Church Activities

'JOIN US FOR COFFEE AND CONVERSATION! We enjoy connecting as a church family and meeting new people—please join us for coffee after worship service each Sunday!  Our weekly coffee service is going "green"!  Since there are no compostable paper coffee cups available, we are now serving coffee in ceramic mugs. Enjoy your favorite coffee or tea then put your used cup in the designated area and the Coffee Team will put them in the dishwasher. If you accidentally take the mug with you, please return it (You are also more than welcome to bring your own mug!).

IT’S IMPORTANT TO FOSTER CONNECTIONS AS A CHURCH FAMILY! We invite and encourage everyone at our worship service to take a moment to introduce yourself and extend a warm welcome to someone you may not know yet. Each introduction not only enriches our worship experience but also contributes to the supportive environment we cherish at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Let's embrace this joyful opportunity together, knowing that every warm welcome can lead to meaningful relationships and spiritual growth for us all!
