MEET OUR PASTOR

Rev. Nicole Trotter

I came into organized faith later in life, but God has been a constant from the beginning. In countless ways, I was graced with experiences that confirmed my instinct; something larger was there for me, holding me, and urging me to become more of who I was created to be.

Today, I call that God’s grace. I did not take a traditional path into ministry but am grateful to God for providing me with the circuitous route of exploration and discovery. My formative years and exposure to different faith traditions have provided me with a deep appreciation for God’s diversity as is evident in all of creation.

After a childhood on Long Island, New York, I enjoyed a short career as an actor in theatre, film, and television. I then became, and continue to be, the adoring mother of two children who are now in their twenties. After 11 years of serving two churches, as Director of Family Ministry, I entered seminary. In 2015, I was ordained and installed at St. Luke Presbyterian in San Rafael.

As a pastor, there is nothing I value more than connection. If you are new to the church, chances are I’ll reach out and ask to meet for coffee so I can learn about your life and share with you a little more of mine. And somewhere in that exchange, a connection will be made that I also understand as a connection with God, Spirit, and the Christ that lives among and within us.

Grace and Peace,

Nicole
