"Environmental Moment: A Christmas Message From Your Green Team"

I was heartened to read recently that a sizable percentage of Gen Z are supporting a circular economy by spending their discretionary money in thrift stores and on online marketplaces that sell or rent used clothing. I have also read about many families who buy all their gifts at thrift stores. We (people and the planet) will all benefit if more of us adopt this habit.

When was the last time you visited a thrift store to shop? They are really awesome! They commonly have everything you can imagine from clothing to housewares and often furniture. Of course it's economical to shop at a thrift store, but it is also the most ecologically friendly way to spend your money. So take a visit to your local thrift store (Sonoma has several), you will be pleasantly surprised.

**And speaking of gifts, visit our table at Church this Sunday and participate in the circular economy by purchasing gently used books and vases, both make wonderful presents.**

Finally, The Green Team pages in the St Andrew website has a lot of suggestions for greening up all your celebrations, here's the link: https://andrewpres.org/earth-care-celebrations/

We wish you all a joyous Christmas season and a greener New Year.
