With the recent wildfires, there doesn’t seem to be anything but bad news with respect to Climate Change. But there is actually a lot of good news and there are many things we can all do to help the environment. We will be sharing some of these Good News stories and some Green Tips in bi-weekly installments. May this instill a little hope for our future.
Good News: All 10 University of California campuses will eliminate single-use plastic by 2030!
Green Tip #1: Did you know that you can put paper towels, bones, hair, and even fur in your Recology green yard waste bin? Consider keeping a small compost container on your kitchen counter (with a biodegradable bag liner) to collect food waste, then just empty it into your green bin.
