Good News: Washington state has banned single use plastics!
Green Tip #21: Did you know that the electric power sector is among the largest contributors of greenhouse gases in the United States, representing 28% of all emissions. [source: EPA]. The energy usage of a single family residence, on average, produces 15 pounds of carbon dioxide per year [source: EPA]. Solar panels are becoming increasingly affordable plus there is a 26% Federal Tax Credit (which will be reduced to 24% by the end of 2022). ***RENTERS*** see below. There are also low income credits in California. Solar panel life expectancy is 25-30 years and the payback for a solar installation is less than 6 years on average for a single family home. Added bonus: this will increase your home value (and in California, there is no property tax increase).
