Sunday service now starts at 9:30
St. Andrew has been an ongoing supporter of FISH for many years through contributions of clothing, food, funds, and service. Along with our March Mission focus, St. Andrew congregants are active in service, from working in the clothing store to driving and ringing bells during the month of December.
With Mission as one of St. Andrew’s core values, our partnering with FISH has been a beautiful foundation of our work for the community of Sonoma.
Sonoma Overnight Support has been a mission focus for St. Andrew for many years. SOS continues to serve meals to those who are unhoused, hungry, and/or on a limited income. This organization continues to provide services to the most vulnerable in our community. Our February mission focus brought much-needed information and ignited the hearts of many St. Andrew congregants to be involved. We look forward to discovering all the possibilities of getting in touch and walking alongside our fellow community members who need us.
We look so forward to the month of July every year, it’s our YoungLife time. We are blessed to meet some of our Sonoma YoungLife youths as they are preparing and fundraising for the annual camp they attend. To see the love of God become awakened in their hearts is a gift to us all at St. Andrew.
Pedal for Protein, our annual September fundraiser, is a group ride sponsored by the Presbytery of the Redwoods, Hunger Task Force based in Napa. All funds are donated to Northern California Food Banks for local food pantries and one international hunger relief project. Not only do we raise funds, but St. Andrew congregants host a dinner as well as providing hosted stays for the riders, forming lifelong relationships.
In March, 2022 we became a certified PCUSA Earth Care Congregation. Our Green team has been very active in creating, educating, and implementing our vision and goal to be stewards of God’s creation. We celebrate our beloved Earth, recognizing the importance of accountability and responsibility for the care of our environment. Join us as we head into the future with more awareness and love for our home.
St. Andrew kicked off our first annual Christmas Shoebox drive in November 2021. Our congregants filled approximately 75 boxes with gifts and love to express the true nature of the Christmas season, showing all the love of our Gracious God.
You can help improve the Sonoma Valley community. One Sunday each year, the church is closed and congregants go out into the community and put faith into action throughout Sonoma. Volunteers fan out to many different sites around the Valley including public schools, local organizations and non-profits, and other venues. Don't Go To Church, Be The Church Sunday is a way to experience faith as Jesus intended when He said, "Go out into the world and do my work."
