Every summer, St. Andrew offers Caravan, a mission trip for incoming 9th graders through 12th grade graduates. We travel to a new community to serve that community in love. We believe that there is something that happens when youth have an opportunity to travel outside of their community to serve others.
Our Caravan team has an opportunity to tackle new projects and go outside their comfort zone as they serve people they have just met. God opens their eyes, hearts, and minds to a different way to see the world and how they can be a part of making it better.
Taking away the daily distractions of our regular lives gives our teens a chance to connect deeper with each other, God, and community. On the Sunday after their return, we have Caravan Sunday. This special service gives participants the opportunity to share where they encountered God, the impact, and how they were changed. The travelers plan and host the entire Caravan Sunday Service, including music, video, scripture reading, and testimonies.
